How it works
Five steps, each one visible.
ClipFactory is a pipeline. Every clip passes the same stages, and each stage keeps a record you can inspect.
1. Sourcing
You give ClipFactory a video, a channel or a list of videos. It downloads the source for processing and transcribes the speech so the next steps can read what is being said.
2. Highlight selection
A language model reads the transcript and proposes short segments that make sense without the surrounding video: a complete thought, a punchline, a surprising moment. Each proposal carries a start, an end, a title and a reason.
3. Rendering
Segments are cut and converted to a vertical 9:16 frame with burned-in captions. A consistent caption style is applied across a channel.
4. Review
Clips are checked before they are queued, and the account owner decides what is published to their account.
5. Scheduled publishing
Approved clips are posted through each platform's official API, at a limited number per account per day, spread across the day. Accounts are never used unless their owner has authorised the app.
Frequently asked
- Does ClipFactory post to accounts I have not connected?
- No. Publishing requires an OAuth authorisation from the account owner, and it can be revoked at any time from the platform's own settings.
- Does it store my password?
- No. Authorisation uses each platform's OAuth flow, so ClipFactory never sees your password.
- Whose videos are clipped?
- Only sources the operator has permission to use, such as their own channels or content licensed for clipping, and credit is given where the licence asks for it.
- Can I stop it?
- Yes. Disconnect the account in TikTok, YouTube or Instagram, or write to hello@clipfactorymedia.com and we will remove the connection and stored tokens.
